Freshping Alternative

Freshping was deprecated.
Here's where to go next.

Freshworks disabled Freshping free accounts on March 6, 2026. Paid plans can continue until their current subscription expires, but renewals and upgrades are no longer supported. If you relied on Freshping for uptime monitoring, Domain Monitor is a native iOS and Android replacement with cloud checks and phone-first alerts.

What happened

Freshping is deprecated — export windows are closing

Freshping free accounts stopped on March 6, 2026
According to Freshping’s deprecation FAQ, free-plan accounts were disabled on March 6, 2026. Paid plans continue until their natural expiry, but renewals and upgrades are no longer processed. Free-tier users can export until June 4, 2026; paid users can export until 90 days after subscription end. Data is retained for 90 days after account disablement, then permanently deleted.

Freshping was one of the more generous simple uptime monitors on the market. Its own export FAQ lists monitoring check configurations, status page configurations, integration configurations, historical incidents, uptime data, and user details as exportable data. It was simple enough to set up quickly and trust.

The deprecation is frustrating because it turns an existing monitoring workflow into a migration project. If that's you, here is the practical replacement shape Domain Monitor offers.

What you gain

Where Domain Monitor differs now

Domain Monitor is built phone-first — alerts and diagnostics live in the app instead of depending on a discontinued web monitoring workflow.

Native push notifications
Get an alert on your phone the moment a target goes down — and again when it recovers. Domain Monitor’s Pro alerts include native push notifications and email alerts from the same app-first workflow.
A real mobile app
Domain Monitor is available on the App Store and Google Play. Check the status of all your targets, run a manual diagnostic, or view your latency history — from your phone, without opening a browser.
Adaptive latency spike alerts
Domain Monitor tracks latency over time and alerts you when response time spikes significantly above your target's normal baseline — useful when a site is technically up but suddenly much slower than usual.
On-demand traceroute
Trigger a cloud traceroute from the app and see where the network path is failing. Domain Monitor gives you a simple mobile diagnostic path after an outage or latency spike.

FAQ

Common questions about switching from Freshping

Is Freshping really shut down?
Freshworks deprecated Freshping. Free-plan accounts were disabled on March 6, 2026. Paid plans continue only until their existing subscription expires, and subscriptions set to renew on or after March 6, 2026 are not processed. Free-tier users can export until June 4, 2026; paid users can export until 90 days after subscription end. Data is retained for 90 days after account disablement, then permanently deleted.
What is the best free Freshping alternative?
Domain Monitor lets you start without any account — add one target and run manual checks immediately from your phone. Create a free account to monitor up to 5 targets. Every new account also gets a 21-day Pro trial automatically, which adds cloud checks every 5 minutes, push notifications, and email alerts. No credit card needed.
Does Domain Monitor have a mobile app?
Yes. Domain Monitor is a native app for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). You can add targets, view history, inspect SSL details, run diagnostics, and receive Pro push notifications directly on your phone.
How quickly can I migrate from Freshping?
Very quickly. Download the app, create a free account, and add your domains and hosts — each target takes under a minute. With a free account you can monitor up to 5 targets. With Pro (or during your 21-day trial) you get up to 12 targets with automatic cloud checks every 5 minutes.
Does Domain Monitor monitor SSL certificates?
Yes. Every HTTPS check automatically reads the SSL certificate. Domain Monitor shows days remaining before expiry and sends alerts at 60, 30, 14, 7, 3, and 1 day before the cert lapses. Pro users also get full certificate details — issuer, validity dates, and subject alternative names — viewable directly in the app.

Freshping is deprecated. Don't leave your sites unmonitored.
